Dr Heidi Fuller
A theme of research within Dr Heidi Fuller’s lab at the Wolfson Centre for Inherited Neuromuscular Disease (CIND), RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital, is focused on cardiac defects in neuromuscular diseases, including spinal muscular atrophy and congenital muscular dystrophy. By combining use of cutting-edge proteomics and bioinformatics tools with biochemical techniques, the group aim to unravel the molecular complexities of disease mechanisms and identify new targets for therapy development.
Group members: Dr Sharon Owen (Postdoctoral Researcher) and Emily Storey (PhD student).
