Dr Chris Adams was invited to present his work to fellow alumni at the second international conference of the Academy of Medical Sciences Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowship which was held from 19-21 November 2019 in Nicosia, Cyprus.
Only alumni of the Daniel Turnberg Travel Fellowship Scheme are able to attend the conference which included keynote talks from senior researchers, a session on career development, and the opportunity to network and share best-practice with fellow scientists.
The Daniel Turnberg travel fellowship scheme, supported by the Academy of Medical Sciences, specifically promotes UK-Middle East connections and has funded over 280 scientific exchanges.
Dr Adams was previously awarded the fellowship to perform a training secondment in the laboratory of Professor Lellouche at the Bar-Ilan University, Tel-Aviv, to study synthesis and characterisation of new nanoparticles, which can potentially manipulate cells in clinically useful ways.
