Research events and lecture series

Regular events include the annual Royal Institute of Philosophy lecture series and the Spotlight on International Relations seminar series.

We also host an annual Jean Jacques Rousseau Lecture, a bi-annual European Consortium on Political Research, an environmental politics postgraduate summer school, and in recent years have organised several ESRC-funded seminar series and we run conferences on a variety of different specialised research areas in all of our subject areas.

Royal Institute of Philosophy lectures

We hold regular Royal Institute of Philosophy events in which leading philosophers are invited to Keele to talk about their research and answer questions from the audience. This is perhaps the most popular invited lecture series in the university and anyone interested in philosophy is welcome to attend.

Keele World Affairs

Keele World Affairs is autonomous and self-organising and its meetings take place in the Westminster Theatre every Thursday evening in autumn and spring. Although independent, it operates in close collaboration with the university.

School of Social Sciences Research Seminar Series

The School of Social Sciences at Keele is a dynamic, research-intensive environment, with prize-winning outputs and world-leading impact. As part of the School's research activity, research seminars are held regularly throughout the academic year for all interested parties to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and debate.
