My academic background is in Geography, African History and Urban Planning which I studied in Hamburg / Germany and Dakar / Senegal. Over the last 20 years I have worked, often but not exclusively with a strong focus on Africa, in senior roles for Amnesty International, Greenpeace International, World Animal Protection, and Conciliation Resources. As Executive Director I have led not for profit consulting group INTRAC, and the global and parliamentary accountability Think Tank One World Trust. I am founder and coordinator of the ROCsalt research and evaluation network where we focus on sustainable development, organisational development, accountability and regulation of organisations involved in access to and provision of global public goods, including NGOs and global public institutions.
