Biography
After working in archaeology, I began to study philosophy whilst at the Open University. I graduated from the Open University with a BA (Hons) in 2000; and I was awarded an MA in philosophy from Sheffield University in 2002. In 2008 I was awarded a PhD from Keele University for a thesis on the philosophy of R.G. Collingwood.
I am interested in all the major sub-disciplines of philosophy, and outside of philosophy I have interests (and publications) in archaeological theory, the history of archaeology, and art history.
Research and scholarship
My areas of specialisation are:

I am Deputy Associate Editor of the journal, Human Affairs.

Aside from my work at Keele, I also work as a research assistant to Professor James Connelly of Hull University who is writing a biography of R.G. Collingwood. Outside of my involvement with contemporary philosophy I have also published articles on the Russian archaeological theorist Leo S. Klejn and on the eighteenth century artist Joseph Wright of Derby.
