Please note there will be a training and selection day on Wednesday 6 November (tbc - info to follow if successful) that you will be required to attend prior to working as an ambassador. Your application may be affected if you are unable to this session.
When attending the training and selection session you will be required to complete an eligibility to work in the UK check. Please click here to check what documents you will need to complete this check. We will be sharing further details regarding the training and selection day/eligibility to work checks in the near future.
Student Ambassadors are current students who are selected as representatives of Keele and employed on a casual contract basis.
Student Ambassadors work in a wide range of roles at Keele, and/or within schools and colleges in the community.
Being a Student Ambassador is a varied and rewarding role; developing your communication and teamwork skills, increasing your employability, giving you the chance to enhance your CV.
As a Keele Student Ambassador, you will:
- Work with a variety of people
- Gain valuable work experience
- Improve your communication and interpersonal skills
- Gain a professional reference (if you have worked two shifts or more and we are happy with your performance when representing Keele)
- Earn money around your studies
- Learn more about Keele and get involved with the recruitment activities and events
Responsible and enthusiastic individuals that represent the best of Keele and can communicate their experiences to prospective students and visitors.
Student Ambassadors are responsible for representing Keele and supporting us to deliver main recruitment events on campus, such as open days and applicant visit days. But, they are also given the opportunity to work elsewhere around the university on events such as
- Welcome week
- Graduation
- Higher Horizons+ events
- On campus school and college visits
- Campus tours
- Off campus recruitment activities
The Student Ambassador role is a casual contract, that you can fit in around your studies, when suits you.
The working hours are flexible, both in the week and at the weekends and are available throughout the year.
