Inclusive teaching - information for staff
Disability support, inclusive teaching and assessment
The Disability Support and Inclusion team work collaboratively with the Organisational Development team to encourage inclusive teaching and learning at Keele University, particularly by:
- Raising awareness of the ways in which different disabilities may affect students during their time at university, and the barriers learners may face in learning and teaching environments.
- Increasing staff understanding about how to design and deliver inclusive learning and teaching environments, activities, resources and assessments.
- Championing the wider benefits of an inclusive teaching approach for all students.
The links below provide a series of downloadable documents with strategies and tips for making your teaching practises more inclusive. All documents are available in Word document format, please contact support.dsi@keele.ac.uk if you would like a copy.
