In the UK, people tend to eat their evening meal between 7pm and 9pm, and most places you can eat and drink at close before midnight which might be a lot earlier that what you’re used to at home 

The local towns, Newcastle under Lyme and Hanley, have various different restaurants containing both English and international cuisine. In England, cuisine such as Indian and Chinese is very popular but it may not be the traditional food you would expect. English people also love fish and chips, so you may see many fish and chip shops.  

If you are wanting to visit a resturant on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, you may need to make a reservation. Typically restaurants are a lot busier on these days.
