Support Funds and Schemes
At Keele University, we have a range of support funds and schemes to help our students to get the most out of their time at university, break down barriers to the university experience and to provide financial support in times of unexpected financial difficulty.
Access & Success Fund
We offer a discretionary Access & Success Fund to enhance the 'university experience' for our students from key groups. The fund can provide financial support towards a wide range of things, such as technology, transport, gym membership, extra-curricular activities and streaming subscriptions.
Food Voucher Scheme
Our Food Voucher Scheme was introduced in response to the national cost-of-living crisis. The scheme can provide students in urgent need with a one-off £50 gift card for a low-cost supermarket, near to the University.
Emergency Short-Term Loans
If students are experiencing a delay in funding or a sudden, unforeseen emergency which requires money they don’t have immediate access to, we may be able to provide a small, short-term, interest-free emergency loan.
Hardship Fund
Our Hardship Fund is a discretionary fund intended to support students who are struggling with severe financial difficulties due to unforeseen circumstances during their course. Each application to the fund is assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account students' individual circumstances wherever possible.
