Law, History, Social, Political and Global Studies

Law

Many of our Law postgraduate diplomas and Master's degrees that will be of direct interest to practitioners are taught by way of four three day block sessions. Each block meets the annual CPD requirement of 16 hours as currently set by the SRA.

History

As well as teaching about the local history of Staffordshire and surrounding area, we also offer courses on the methods and practice of local history study, as well as key skills such as document reading and analysis, and short courses on topical subjects that regularly attract students from overseas. Of particular note is our long-running Latin and Palaeography Summer School.

Skills Bootcamps

Our Skills Bootcamps have been created to help you gain key sector-specific skills. They have both been designed with input from employers and each bootcamp will be delivered by experts from Keele University and industry partners. Skills Bootcamps are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life.

Short courses

Keele University is offering short courses as part of a national pilot to provide flexible university study. Developed in collaboration with local stakeholders the courses have been created with a clear focus on developing skills which are highly relevant to today’s fast paced and evolving work environment. The courses are delivered over 12 to 16 weeks using hybrid learning, this normally includes face-to-face teaching sessions and self-paced online activities. Depending on the course, face-to-face teaching will either be delivered on-campus or online.
