Making Languages Work
Each year Keele University’s Language Centre holds an event for parents and Year 8 pupils interested in modern languages. Our aim is to highlight languages and employability through emphasis on progression routes for language learners and to make parents and pupils aware of the possibilities available to anyone who can speak a second, third or even fourth language.
Local schools have been contacted and based on previous year’s high demand, we have allocated 10 pupil places per school with accompanying parent(s) and siblings. We will operate a waiting list and distribute unused allocation to participating schools in mid-January.
