Biography
Ilse Wührer is a Teaching Fellow in German and devises and delivers a number of modules up to German Stage 10.
Ilse joined the Modern Languages Department in Keele as a sessional teacher in 1989 on the Principal Course German and the Subsidiary Course and has been working as a 0.5 Teaching Fellow in ML since 2001. Between 1989 and 1999 she also taught at Staffordshire University (IWLP and German for Business) and Newcastle under Lyme College (German for Business), and between 2004 and 2008 she was External Examiner for German at the University of Wales, Newport. Additionally, she was an examiner for German A-Level with the AQA Exam Board for nearly twenty years, and for GCSE for five years. Her interests lie in curriculum development and devising teaching materials for higher level German modules, especially contemporary German film.
Ilse has a BA (Hons) in German Literature and English Literature.
