Biography
Milan-born Manuela Contardi-Lane joined the Language Centre at Keele University as a sessional teacher in 2014, but she has been an Italian tutor/lecturer in H.E. and F.E. for the past 20 years. Past experience also includes interpreting, translation and tuition for various local businesses. She has worked as an OCN moderator, as well as a GCSE and A-Level examiner and marker.
Apart from a degree from Italy (in Modern Languages: English, French, Italian), she holds a PGCE in FAHE, a Master's Degree in English Literature and a TESOL qualification, and part of her working life is dedicated to English language teaching.
Languages have always been her main passion. Books, films, music and food are among her other interests.
