Commonwealth Scholarships

The award

Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), these scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.

Eligibility 

We accept students with the following Commonwealth Scholarships:

• Commonwealth PhD Scholarships (for low- and middle-income countries)
• Commonwealth Split-site (PhD) Scholarships (for low- and middle-income countries)
• Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships

Applications for 2024/25 Commonwealth Split-site (PhD) Scholarships have now closed.   

Applications for Commonwealth Master’s scholarships and PhD Scholarships for the 2025/26 academic year are now closed. The scholarships are for study in the UK beginning in September/October 2025.
