Eligibility and Requirements
Academic Requirements
- You are expected to have a GPA of 3.0 or equivalent. If you do not meet this requirement, or have any questions about whether you are eligible to apply, please contact the Global Opportunities Team or your Study Abroad Office at your home institution.
- You must have completed a year of undergraduate study at your home university before coming to Keele.
Language Requirements
As classes at Keele are taught in English, all students must be able to prove they have a sufficient level of English to be able to cope with the course from the beginning. If you are a non-native English speaker, you will need to submit an appropriate English Language qualification or attend one of our pre-sessional English courses.
Students from Australia, Canada & USA: You will not be required to meet the English Language Requirement in your application.
Students from partner universities in Europe/Switzerland: If you require a student visa to enter the UK you will need to provide an IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate (scores below). Alternatively, you may be able to undertake a diagnostic English test online by Keele University's Language Centre. If you are coming for one semester only and do not require a student visa you will only need to provide a letter from your home university stating your English is at least CEFR B2 level.
Students from partner universities elsewhere in the world: You will be required to provide an IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificate (scores below). Alternatively, you may be able to undertake a diagnostic English test online by Keele University's Language Centre however this is not guaranteed.
