Keele Business School has ranked among the top 40 universities in the world for embedding sustainability in its MBA course in a global ranking of over 170 business schools worldwide.
KBS ranked 32nd in the world in the recent Corporate Knights 2024 Better World MBA ranking, which scores MBA providers across the world on their efforts to provide a course that enables graduates to have a positive impact on the world.
The 2024 exercise looked at 174 business schools around the world, scoring them according to how much of their MBA course is focused on promoting sustainable development in their teaching.
This year’s ranking also featured an additional category looking at the proportion of each university’s graduates who go on to work in “impact” organisations, such as not-for-profit companies and those whose primary focus is providing solutions to social and/or environmental problems.
Dr Scott Bambrick, Director of Keele Business School, said: “It is a fantastic recognition for Keele Business School to be named in the Top 40 in the world for integrating sustainability into its MBA programme. This reflects our strong commitment to embedding sustainability in all that we do – it is evident throughout all our curriculum, in how we are positioning our research priorities, and throughout our day-to-day operations.
“In KBS, we are committed to inspiring and preparing future leaders to meet the demands of an ever-changing society, economy and world. With our MBA being ranked amongst the best in the world for sustainability, we are extremely proud that this demonstrates progress towards our mission."
