Our business research portfolio has depth, impact, and is sustainability-focused, harnessing a collegial vitality that enhances the learning environment through close engagement with industry regionally, nationally and internationally.
Here at Keele Business School, our teaching and world-leading research are helping to support and transform communities locally, nationally, and around the world. We nurture the next generation of business leaders to go out into the world and have a positive impact. Our research is aligned with three core themes, with established research groups in management, marketing, operations, economics, accounting, and finance. Each group is composed of academics at the top of their field, with a wide range of specialisms, expertise, and experience.
Not only is this research highly specialized and uniquely designed to tackle key challenges in the business world, but it also follows Keele's time-honored tradition of multidisciplinary research. Our researchers work in sync with specialist research institutes across the wider university, such as the Institute for Global Health, Institute for Sustainable Futures, and the Digital Society Institute.
Unlike the rest of Keele, sustainability is embedded in everything we do. Beyond core business economics and management studies, social inclusion and sustainability are core themes of our research, closely aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, just like the rest of the wider university.
Our diverse multicultural teaching staff carry out a wide range of important research, informing policy sets, agendas, and thought leadership. We're working with partners across multiple sectors and industries to put that research into practice, creating impact and change where it's needed most.
Our talented pool of postgraduate students are key to this inclusive, cohesive research community, working alongside our researchers and industry partners to move their fields forward. This not only secures their future careers but also helps evolve the industries they'll go on to work in.
We nurture a culture of engagement, inclusion, and cohesion that allows a progressive view of the world to flourish and research careers to thrive. Drawing on Keele's tradition of interdisciplinary research rooted in the social sciences and humanities, our students and researchers are working to address broad societal interests related to work organizations and markets that have a real-world impact.
