Keele is a global university. With over 120 nationalities studying with us, international students are welcomed to our global community. With dedicated support, scholarships, and preparatory courses, we'll support you through your application, enrolment and beyond.

In this video, our students share their personal experiences of studying at Keele. This video was filmed in August 2024 – experiences and opportunities may vary for future years.

Hi. Welcome to Keele. I'm Alison. I'm an international student, and today we're going to talk to some other international students about their experiences at Keele.

Hi, I'm Anne George, I'm doing my Master's in Advanced Computer Science. I'm an international student from India. My favourite thing about Keele is it is, of course, a beautiful campus. I heard it's one of the largest in the UK. And I love how I can just go to the nearby Keele Hall and nearby spaces and have a little time out.

My name is Kunkuru Shadrack Meritei. I’m an international student from Kenya, and I’m taking a Master of Science in Computer Science. My favourite thing about Keele University is its approach to learning. My course involves both theoretical and practical classes. In the theoretical classes, I get to learn the theoretical part of the units. Then in the practical classes, I get to interact with both my lecturers and demonstrators, who are always there to help to demonstrate anything I may require.

I am Hridita Afsana, and I'm studying Masters of Science in Management from Keele Business School, and I'm from Bangladesh. Keele has been very supportive for the international students. They have provided an orientation program through which we got to know a lot of things about the surroundings, the campus layout and academic expectations, which helped all the international students to settle in smoothly.

Keele has now become a home far away from home for me, especially because it has that support it has given to me as an international student. So, I've always felt that I'm not alone and I've got the support that I need, which made me a lot easier to settle into the life here.

During my time at Keele, I got involved with the Arts Society since I'm passionate about paintings and arts. Apart from that, I've been also actively participating in badminton at the Keele Sports Centre, which actually helped me to stay active and get to know more people around the campus. The most important tip I would be giving to all the international students is to engage themselves more and more in campus life. To get connected with all the socials, societies and clubs. And if you ever need any help, don't hesitate to reach out for help, and the more you’re engaged in the campus life, the more it will help you to get settled in and feel at home.

I would like to encourage any international student thinking of coming to the UK that it's the best place, secure. The learning here is really, really good and intense. And the community is really welcoming, so you should be ready to take that adventure.
