Menopause research
The publication of the Women’s Health Strategy (Department of Health and Social Care, 2022) for England, identified menopause as one of seven priority areas. The Women’s Health Research Group has responded to this by contributing to the NHS Menopause Stakeholder group to design a workplace support package for NHS employees experiencing menopause, and, contributing to the evidence-based knowledge.
Our aims
- The exploration of the scope of contemporary research literature evaluating the efficacy of non-pharmaceutical treatment of the symptoms of menopause.
- Examining the effect of complementary and alternative therapies on women’s skin during peri- and post-menopause. We look forward to publishing the findings later this year.
