Winners announced at the Keele Health and Care Partnership Awards
The partnership work between Keele University, the NHS and local health and social care providers was celebrated at the inaugural Keele Health and Care Partnership Awards this week.
The event shined a light on the achievements of academic, education and professional services staff in the University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, and colleagues working in NHS trusts, industry networks and the voluntary sector across the Midlands that have strong links to Keele.
The awards were held at Keele Hall, and covered nine wide-ranging categories, with the winners listed below.
- Exemplary Placement Provider Award: Robert Dennis – Midlands Partnership University Foundation NHS Trust;
- Exemplary Educator Award: Medical Education Team – North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust;
- Exemplary Partnerships in Research and Healthcare Award - Ruth Lambley-Burke, Midlands Partnership University Foundation NHS Trust;
- Development of Partnerships with the Private, Voluntary, Business and Third Sector Organisations Award - Sophia Fedorowicz, Expert Citizens CIC;
- Outstanding Achievement in Partnership with Patients and the Public Award - Helen Duffy, Midlands Partnership University Foundation NHS Trust;
- Keele Alumni Achievement Award - Lincoln Gombedza, North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust;
- Early Career Achievement Award - Abbie Milner, Keele University;
- Student Achievement Award - Balamrit Sokhal, Keele University.
Professor Pauline Walsh, Pro Vice-Chancellor and Executive Dean of Medicine and Health Sciences at Keele, said: “Keele has a long and proud history of partnership working with the local NHS and care partners, delivering wide-ranging and world-leading research, education, and collaborative portfolio.
“The awards were held to recognise and celebrate excellence in collaboration and partnership, which was even more fitting in the year the NHS is celebrating its 75th anniversary. The calibre of nominations was very impressive and I would like to congratulate all of the winners on their achievement.”
