Forensic Science at Keele ranked in UK Top 10
Keele University’s Forensic Science programme has been ranked among the best in the UK in a prestigious national ranking.
The Guardian University Guide 2024 has placed Forensics at Keele 7th in the UK, based on a number of metrics including student satisfaction with teaching, staff to student ratio, and career prospects after graduating.
The programme at Keele is accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences and has a dedicated Crime Scene House that allows students to put the theory into practice, along with the use of high-tech facilities in modern laboratories using industry-standard equipment.

Students cover key forensic areas such as genetics, anthropology, toxicology, forensic investigation and arson, alongside newer fields such as digital forensics and geoscience.
Dr Jamie Pringle, Reader in Forensic Geoscience at Keele University and Programme Director for Forensic Science, said: “I’m pleased to see the programme teams hard efforts on teaching and learning for Forensics Science students at Keele have been recognised by the Guardian, it really is a team effort by academic, administrative, technical support and the wider Keele Estates and administrative processes staff.”
