Support with accommodation, finances, and mental health and wellbeing are just some of the services available from a new student-facing service hub at Keele University.

Based in the newly refurbished Claus Moser building on campus, the new Student Services Hub provides a new base for Keele’s variety of Student Services teams, who are currently moving into the space in time for the new academic year.

Student-facing services are now located on the ground floor and first floor of the Claus Moser building, moving existing services from the Tawney and Newsome buildings, and some from the Library, to provide a single physical hub for all students who use campus to access all support services. 

The Student Services Hub provides access to advice, support and guidance on a variety of issues from examinations and assessment; timetabling; and tuition fees, to careers, placements and employability; global opportunities; and even visas and “right to study” queries for international students.

The move to this single hub space has been designed in response to feedback from students, to make services more accessible and approachable to all students who need to seek help.

Zoe Garnett, Wellbeing Officer in Keele’s Student Union, said: “For students who are struggling or need help, the new hub provides a really accessible and friendly space, especially for our neurodivergent students. It's also refreshing to have everything based in one place, in a central location on campus.

"This will allow even more students to have an outstanding experience during their time at Keele, safe in the knowledge that they can access help with any challenges they might face."

Katie Laverty, Director of Student Services and Success, added: "We're dedicated to helping all of our students have an outstanding experience during their time at Keele, and this move to our new Hub will help us to achieve that goal of helping even more students by ensuring that they just have one place to go for all their support needs, no matter their circumstances or what kind of assistance they need."
