As this is a training facility for our physiotherapy and rehabilitation and exercise science students, by booking an appointment with us, you understand that your assessment and treatment will be completed by a student member of staff. Our students are of excellent quality and will be continuously observed and appraised to determine and monitor their abilities. Your care and our professional standards are of the utmost importance to us. There will be a qualified Physiotherapist supervising our students at all times.
We offer both virtual and face-to-face appointments in the clinic. You can indicate your preference on the booking page by clicking the link to book above.
You must attend for an assessment of your injury/condition before you can receive treatment. You can select this on the booking form.
We also offer massage appointments to relieve muscle soreness or tension. Again, you can indicate your preference on the booking form. Please note, if you are suffering from an injury to that area or are currently in pain, you would need to attend for an assessment before receiving a massage.
All appointments last approximately half an hour.
All appointments are currently just £18. There is also an option to purchase 6 sessions for the price of 5. Please note - we are committed to keeping costs as low as possible for our patients.
We kindly ask for you to complete payment prior to attendance. You can both book and pay for your appointment using the buttons above.
Katie Brown - Keele University Clinic Director and MSK Physiotherapy Lecturer Chartered Physiotherapist HCPC reg.no. PH65609
"Having worked most of my professional career within the NHS I am fully aware of the difficulty that faces patients and clinicians with regards to accessing and delivering effective, timely and thorough Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation after injury or illness. Understandably, with pressures on the NHS forever increasing, NHS Physiotherapy appointments can be delayed, short and so often cannot cater for longer-term rehabilitation. Privately there is availability and resource but this is not always affordable, especially for longer term goals. This is where our clinic comes in.
The Keele University Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Clinic is a training facility for our Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Exercise Science students. Part of their degree programme is to gain valuable practical patient experience. The clinic will do just that. By attending our clinic you will provide our students with a wonderful opportunity to grow and develop their clinical skills. In turn, you have access to affordable, professional, detailed and effective Physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. Our sessions will be carried out by our students under the guidance and observation of qualified Chartered Physiotherapists, such as myself, so the management will ALWAYS be supervised.
It is a very exciting prospect. Perhaps, just perhaps, this clinic may help Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation become accessible and affordable for everyone. Help our students to help you!"
