Representatives in your country
You may wish to speak with one of our authorised agents who represent Keele in your country. They can provide you with additional information, support you through the application and visa process and liaise with the University on your behalf.
Keele University China Office, with a dedicated in-country team has officially started operating, it will now be responsible for the management and coordination of all agents operating in the Chinese market. All future communications from agents' side will be handled directly by our China Office.

The agent you choose to work with will be copied in to all communications relevant to your application until you enrol at the University after which time they will only be included in emails to you with your express written permission.

The actual grades you require in particular subjects will vary according to the degree course you wish to study. You will also require an English language qualification.
If you do not meet the requirements for direct entry into Year 1 of our undergraduate (bachelor) degree courses you can apply for a place on our Foundation Year. Information regarding A levels, BTEC, International Baccalaureate qualifications and subject-specific requirements can be found on our course pages.
We need to make sure that your level of English is good enough for you to study at Keele University. Click here to view a list of the English Language qualifications we accept. For UK students, we normally ask for a minimum of a grade 4/C in GCSE English Language. For EU and International students, we accept qualifications from several countries, as well as a range of international qualifications and tests.

Funding and scholarships

Students may be automatically considered for some awards, with no extra application necessary. Life at Keele and societies
Keele offers a friendly and supportive environment for international students, with regular gatherings and events that help new students to settle in.
Keele delivers a unique and international learning experience. We teach in small groups, provide one-to-one access to our academics, and value the quality of our teaching. We were awarded the ‘Gold Award’ in the first teaching excellence framework - the highest rating.
We guarantee accommodation on campus for all September start international students who apply by 30 June, with the option to live on campus for the full duration of your course. Our accommodation is clean and secure, with staff available 24 hours a day to offer support and advice.
There is a regular, direct bus service to the nearest town of Newcastle-under-Lyme which takes just 15 minutes. Here you will find cinemas, restaurants, music venues and a range of shops and supermarkets.
There is also a direct bus from campus to the bigger city of Stoke-on-Trent where you can take a train to London (90 minutes), Birmingham (45 minutes) and Manchester (35 minutes).
Keele is home to a friendly and supportive Chinese Society which hosts regular gatherings and helps new students to settle in. There is also an International Society, a Traditional Chinese Culture Society and an Asian Society!
World food, including Asian cuisine, is found in the Refectory Food Court. Keele students from Asia also often shop at the two Asian Supermarkets in Stoke-on-Trent where they can find many familiar cooking ingredients (one supermarket offers a free shuttle bus service 3 days a week booked in advance). There are also many large supermarkets closer to the campus.
The International Student Support Office is the first point of contact for international students for any problems they might have.
Immigration and visa advice is provided by the Advice and Support at Keele unit.
Our friendly Student Services Team give practical academic advice and also look after the welfare of our students. All undergraduate students are assigned a Personal Tutor who will support and guide them through their studies at Keele.
