The Keele green festival returns with a new one-off book club!
Keele Green Festival 2024, 5th March to 23rd March, is a celebration of sustainability at at Keele University covering topics such as environment, social justice, global equality, health and wellbeing, and economic stability as illustrated by the 17 global goals.
This year's festival is themed around 'Action and Activism' and to celebrate this and the new sustainability collection on the Libby app, the IDS green team are hosting a one-off book club event on Thursday 21st march between 2-3pm in the campus library training room!
This book club will be discussing Barn 8 by Deb Olin Unferth - a comic political drama involving a plucky band of activists, a very unusual heist story and a series of catastrophes (plus chickens!) which begs the question of its readers 'what constitutes meaningful action in a world so in need of change?'.
Barn 8 is available as an ebook or as an audiobook on the Libby app as well as in print - and don't forget to check out the selection of other great reads and audiobooks available too!
Register here for this year's Keele Green Festival book club and leave your thoughts about Barn 8 here!
