How can I give?
Keele University values the support of its students, alumni, neighbours and friends. Every gift, no matter how large or small, improves the student experience, our world-class research, or contributes to other significant projects.
This page outlines some of the different methods through which you may wish to give. If you are considering making a donation and would like to talk to us first, please get in touch.
Gifts from individuals
There are many ways you can give individually to Keele:
- You can set up a regular payment (direct debit) or one-off gift via our online form.
- Alternatively, you can download our donation form below, or just ask us to post one to you. You might choose to enclose a cheque or supply your bank/card details for us to process.
- If you wish to give via bank transfer, please get in touch and we will supply you with the details you need.
- If you are considering leaving a gift in your will (a legacy), please get in touch.
Giving from the UK? For individuals paying tax in the United Kingdom, tax relief can be applied to the gift by use of the UK’s Gift Aid programme. This increases the value of your gift by 25% at no additional cost to you. Higher rate taxpayers can benefit from additional relief too. You will be able to apply Gift Aid when you make a donation via the online form, or if you would like to discuss applying Gift Aid to a previous donation, please get in touch.
Giving from abroad? Wherever you live, we are able to accept gifts in the same ways as outlined above. This being said, we have a special provision for US gifts to be made tax effectively, which you can find out more about below.
Giving from the USA? Alumni and friends who are taxpayers in the USA can support Keele University through BSUF (British Schools and Universities Foundation), a 501(c)(3) charitable organisation that is recognised by the United States Internal Revenue Service. Giving through BSUF enables your gift to be make tax effectively.
Gifts from organisations
We also welcome gifts from trusts and foundations, companies and organisations, as one-off or returning philanthropic gifts, and on occasion, sponsorship too. Please get in touch for more information.
Regulation
We are registered with Fundraising Regulator, the independent regulator of charitable fundraising in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The University is a registered charity (reference number X80032), which not only means that we stringently observe charity law but also that gifts made to Keele can be made tax effective, both for individuals and companies.
Please get in touch if you would like us to post a paper donation form to you.
